The Data Management & Infrastructure Manager is responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving a single, trusted data foundation that enables insight-driven decision making across Commercial, Value & Access, and Medical. The role partners closely with global and local stakeholders to ensure data platforms, governance, and reporting solutions are aligned with international standards and sustainably adopted across the organization.

About the Role

Key responsibilities 

  • Design, maintain, and evolve the country DAP data foundation, ensuring a federated, single, trusted view of business-critical data aligned with international data strategy. 
  • Define and govern business rules for data ingestion, transformation, aggregation, and master data management in line with enterprise data governance frameworks. 
  • Coordinate data integration and data flows from core platforms (e.g., CRM, marketing platforms, field systems) to ensure timely, accurate, and fit-for-purpose data availability. 
  • Ensure high levels of data quality, governance, and compliance by implementing controls, supporting data privacy requirements, and maintaining clear data documentation. 
  • Maintain and enhance the data layer powering key dashboards and reports, ensuring consistency of metrics, structures, and refresh cycles across functions. 
  • Perform data validation, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution for data incidents in collaboration with DAP, DDIT, and business stakeholders. 
  • Enable advanced analytics, AI, and GenAI use cases by ensuring data readiness, quality, and scalability for priority pilots and solutions. 
  • Partner with Commercial, Value & Access, and Medical teams to understand data needs across the product lifecycle and translate them into data solutions. 
  • Support vendor and data service management by providing requirements, quality criteria, and performance input to the DAP Head. 
  • Provide mentoring and day-to-day guidance to data specialists, contributing to capability building and operational excellence within the DAP organization. 

Essential Requirements 

  • University degree in business, life sciences, analytics, computer science, engineering, or another relevant technical discipline; fluent English and Spanish languages required. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharma data management, analytics enablement, or related roles supporting commercial, access, or medical use cases. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, stakeholder management, and driving data-driven optimization, automation, and change initiatives. 
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical data domains, regulatory requirements, and separation of promotional and non-promotional data. 
  • Hands-on expertise in data management, SQL, and data modeling, with experience enabling reporting and analytics solutions. 
  • Experience acting as a Data or AI Product Owner, translating business needs into requirements, features, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consulting skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations. 
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders while role-modeling Novartis leadership behaviors, ethics, and compliance standards.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: €  44,700.00 - 83,100.00  

  

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. 

  

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
