Ready to take ownership of financial reporting for an international business and become a trusted partner to senior finance stakeholders? As Senior FRA GL Specialist, you will lead accurate, timely month-end and year-end reporting for an assigned country, connect local and global teams, and resolve complex accounting matters with confidence. Working across functions and leveraging leading financial systems and tools, you'll help drive process improvements, provide valuable financial insights, and ensure the integrity of reporting processes in a dynamic, collaborative environment where your contributions truly matter.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, financial statements and reconciliations in accordance with IFRS and Novartis reporting requirements.
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, provide high-quality financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
  • Act as the key contact connecting local stakeholders, global finance teams and cross-functional partners.
  • Analyze reporting results, resolve accounting queries and clearly present findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure integrity and compliance with accounting standards, financial controls, audit requirements and internal procedures.
  • Support audit, tax, and compliance reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements and operational excellence across accounting, reporting and reconciliation activities.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in financial accounting and preparing financial reporting packages.
  • Proven ownership of month-end close activities and delivery against demanding reporting deadlines.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, audit, and tax reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and experience using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluent written and spoken English with strong communication skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working in a shared services or multinational finance environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical or similarly complex corporate reporting structures.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: Benefits & Rewards

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 808,381 - 1,501,279 CZK Annual gross.

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.

We also offer a variety of competitive benefits in kind to help you thrive personally and professionally, such as insurance plans, retirement plans, wellbeing resources and global recognition programs. In addition, we provide flexible and hybrid working options, where possible, and minimum 14 weeks paid parental leave.
